Hinsley turns sports reporting into continuously updated decision intelligence
A live college-football experiment shows agents maintaining evidence, forecasts and changing probabilities while humans concentrate on judgment.
Cultivate Labs used its Hinsley AI/human analysis platform to collect information on Illinois football, structure the evidence around scenarios and indicators, and revise forecasts as new results arrived. After a loss to Duke, the system cut Illinois’s playoff probability from 8% to 4% while raising its estimate that the team would allow no more than 30 sacks from 52% to 61%, separating distinct signals from the headline result. For sports publishers, the case shows how agents can maintain reporting-backed models across teams, shifting journalists’ work from repeatedly gathering information toward challenging and interpreting a continuously updated analytical product.
