Apple HomeView makes Siri AI a household gatekeeper for media discovery
A shared smart display makes Apple’s assistant the front door to music, video, news and audiobooks at home.
Apple has opened pre-orders for HomeView, a seven-inch household display that recognizes up to six people and uses Siri AI to retrieve personal context, answer open-ended questions, and recommend or play music. The device supports Apple media apps and compatible third-party audio and video apps, with availability starting November 13. By making its assistant the shared interface for discovery and playback, Apple gains more control over which media services receive household attention and demand.
