HUMXN turns free home repairs into training data for robotics
A three-city subsidy program pays for specialist work so robots can learn from real-world jobs.
HUMXN is offering qualifying households free plumbing, electrical, HVAC, air-duct and carpet-cleaning work in Minneapolis, Chicago and Miami while paid technicians wear capture equipment. The company says recordings across varied homes and equipment will teach embodied AI how workers diagnose problems, choose tools and verify completed jobs. The arrangement turns tacit trade expertise into a licensable information asset while giving the people and households supplying it a role in the data economy.
