Apple TV 4K turns Siri AI into a conversational entertainment gatekeeper
Conversational search and recommendations are becoming part of the television interface rather than a separate app.
Apple announced a $299 fourth-generation Apple TV 4K for November 13 with a full-screen Siri AI experience that can search for shows, recommend related titles, answer follow-up questions, and act across apps. Personal-context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, while Siri AI launches as a beta in English in selected markets and is also available on second-generation or later Apple TV 4K devices. Moving entertainment discovery into Apple’s conversational layer could redirect attention across its own and third-party services before viewers browse an app or catalogue themselves.
