Antiquity Makes Millions of Archive Pages Searchable by AI Agents
A human-directed research pipeline compressed a decades-scale archive search into one night without discarding the trail back to primary documents.
The open-source Antiquity toolkit chains semantic search with low-cost and larger AI models to screen millions of archival passages while linking promising claims back to original scans. Its creator says a home system processed 4.35 million pages overnight, but the resulting meteorite, rhinoceros and eruption findings still await specialist confirmation. The workflow could turn public archives into agent-readable research products, expanding discovery while making provenance and expert review essential parts of the information service.
