Spinf open-sources one-pass news scoring to cut information-processing costs
A self-hosted engine reuses one document pass across many decisions instead of rereading it for every question.
Spinf released spinf-serve under the Apache 2.0 licence, an engine that reads a document once and branches many fixed-answer and extraction questions from the same pass. It can run on one supported 24 GB GPU or through a hosted API, and its published benchmark reports 491 questions per second against 200 for the configured comparison server. For specialist information producers, reusable one-pass scoring can lower the inference cost of turning large news streams into indexes, alerts and decisions, strengthening the economics of narrowly focused data products.
