Spotatui lets coding agents control music discovery and playback across services
An open music player gives agents access to listening history, search, queues and playback without tying discovery to one catalogue.
Spotatui has added an MCP server that exposes its music player and local listening history to coding agents, alongside a built-in AI DJ that can search, inspect queues, and select tracks across several sources. Users can supply an existing agent subscription, an API key, or a local model, and the project says only track, artist, and album names and the typed conversation reach the model. The design moves the recommendation interface away from any single streaming app and into a user-selected agent that can route listening across services and local collections.
